11-10-09..............Coamhim (pronounced Kwom - heem) is the stage name for the obscure and amazingly prolific musical artist Kevin Andrew Atwood. Born in 1978, he has been creating audio compositions since he was 18, and over the span of a decade has written and produced many dozens of songs in multiple genres with subjects as wide ranging and diverse as dysfunctional families and relationships to whimsical lighthearted creations about mysticism and fantasy to prose in support of the underdogs and disenfranchised of society to musings and manic rants about religion, politics, mental health, love, hate, death, the afterlife and many, many other subjects..... In his music, Coamhim talks the talk because he has walked the walk; he has been on both sides of the law, he has seen and lived with and among the most fringe elements of society, he has been surrounded with camaraderie and love and has been immersed in loneliness and despair; he has experienced and endured the entire spectrum of interaction and treatment with and from his fellow human beings; he has lived more life (both good and bad) than most people 3 or 4 times his age. At this moment, what the future holds for him is uncertain; he is a ward of the State of Arizona for the next 2 1/2 years and unsure about his life direction after that time........But, whatever or however the coming years may treat Kevin, it has been this rich texture of experiences blended with his incredibly insightful and limitless imagination and superior observational capabilities as well as his genius for melody, prose, and related song building expertise that brand his unique musical talents.
